Digitalisation of the oil industry to bring Kazakhstan 119 billion tenge

Oil projects of more than 34 billion tenge will be implemented in the country within the framework of Digital Kazakhstan.

It is expected that the benefits of Kazakhstan from all these measures will amount to 119 billion tenge.

Eight joint projects with quasi-state companies were included in the state program on digitalisation. Five of them belong to the oil industry.

The Ministry of Energy clarified that among the plans financed by the agency in the years 2019-2021, oil information accounting system will be implemented for 4.8 billion tenge. It is also planned for these years to create a unified state system of subsoil use management with a subsystem capable of predicting the balance of liquefied petroleum gas. 930 million tenge will be spent for it. In addition, until 2021, it is planned to establish a single state system for the management of subsoil use with an online auction of deposits. 1 billion tenge is allocated for this.

In addition to them, according to the Ministry of Energy, a number of projects are carried out at the expense of the company's own funds. For example, the Intellectual field project is implemented on the assets of the KazMunaiGas national company. Investments in replicating a digital field at 17 KMG fields are estimated at 28 billion tenge.

The country has already introduced a system of maintenance and repair of equipment. Investments in the amount of 10.5 billion were directed from the own funds of the refinery in 2016-2018. 3.8 billion tenge was spent on the automation of the system.

Earlier, LS reported that the digitalisation of uranium mines will bring Kazakhstan more than 12 billion tenge.
