The first project, Silleno, was acquired in partnership with the Chinese company Shanghai Sinopec Engineering. It involves the construction of a petrochemical plant that will produce 1.25 million tons of polyethylene per year and is scheduled for completion by 2028.
The units to be built are LLDPE/HDPE. LLDPE is used for packaging materials, films, molding, pipe coatings, and wire and cable insulation. HDPE is a highly recyclable material that can be reused multiple times to produce new products without losing its original properties. Thanks to its strength and durability, it is used in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and food industries to produce items such as detergent bottles, containers, packaging, and pipes. Finally, linear alpha olefins are used to produce high-quality detergents, waxes, plastics, and lubricants.
The second project, Tengiz, concerns a Gas Separation Complex (GSC) awarded to Tecnimont in consortium with the Lebanese company Consolidated Contractors Company, which will carry out the construction work. Tecnimont is responsible for engineering, procurement, and commissioning activities. The project is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2029.
