Kazakhstan Welding Association «KazWeld» got the status Authorized National Body for Company Certification (ANBCC)

On February 2-5, 2015 the Intermediate meetings of the International Institute of Welding were held in Paris.

kazweld-logoThe representatives of Kazakhstan also participated in those meetings. During one of the meetings, the general voting among the member countries of the International Authorization Board of the International Institute of Welding (IAB/IIW) has been held to award the Kazakhstan Welding Association the status of the Authorized National Body for Company Certification (ANBCC). The first time in the IIW history, the country got the full authorization to implement the IIW MSC Scheme complying with ISO 3834 in such a short period!

At the 67th General Assembly of the IIW which was held on July 13 -18, 2014 in Seoul (South Korea), Kazakhstan got the status of ANBCC Applicant, and in November -  preliminary authorization to assess the manufacturers complying with ISO 3834.

On January 21-23, 2015, the international ANBCC audit was held in Kazakhstan Welding Association KazWeld. Two international experts conducted the audit:

  • Mrs. Ruth FERRAZ, Executive Director of the International Authorization Board of the International Institute of Welding, IAB / IIW (Portugal)
  • Mr. Tim JESSOP, Associate Director - External Relations, The Welding Institute (UK).

On November 21-22, the international experts witnessed the work of Kazakhstani assessors who carried out the audit of the company "Tulpar Talgo" on the compliance with ISO 3834. Kazakhstan – Spanish JV “Tulpar Talgo” was established between JSC “National Company “Kazakhstan Railways” and Spanish company “Рatentes Тalgo S.L.U” in 2010 for manufacturing the high-speed railway carriages in Astana city.

The audit in Tulpar Talgo is the first audit on IIW Manufacturer Certification Scheme according to ISO 3834 in Kazakhstan conducted by local assessors. The audit was held by Mr. Vladislav Brodnikov, a Lead Assessor of Kazakhstan Welding Association KazWeld and a Director of Nondestructive Testing Certification Center, Mr. Kurban Assubayev, an Assessor of Kazakhstan Welding Association KazWeld and a vice-president of JSC “Montazhspetstroy”, Mr. Marat Kazhekov, an Assessor of Kazakhstan Welding Association KazWeld and a welding engineer in KazStroyService. Assessors showed excellence skills and professionalism in auditing.
