The Efficiency and Security of Kazakhstan’s Oil & Gas Sector

The Kazakhstani exhibition company Iteca is currently preparing for two major oil and gas events in West Kazakhstan:

  • Atyrau Oil & Gas 2015, the 14th North Caspian regional exhibition from 14-16 April 2015 at Atyrau Sports Complex
  • OilTech Atyrau 2015, the 9th Atyrau regional petroleum technology conference from 14-15 April 2015 at Atyrau Hotel

A special feature of the Atyrau Oil & Gas 2015 exhibition is the inclusion of the 'Welding and Welding Equipment' and 'Coatings – Anti-Corrosion Coatings for Pipelines' sections. These sections were first introduced at the KIOGE 2014 exhibition and included over 30 exhibitors presenting welding equipment, and developers, manufacturers, and suppliers of technology, equipment, and materials for surface treatment and coating.

The inclusion of this section highlights the urgency of challenges in ensuring the security and consistency of pipelines and engineering constructions and the necessity to increase reliability of pipeline operational systems.

The co-organiser of the 'Welding and Welding Equipment' section is KAZWELD, the Kazakhstan Welding Association. The main areas of the new section will be electrolytic metallurgy, welding polymer materials, corrosion protection, and the latest innovations in offshore geology.

The OilTech Atyrau 2015 conference provides an opportunity to discuss the main issues in effective organisation in geological surveying, examples of using innovative ways to research geological layering, and the latest achievements in offshore geology.

The session on drilling will cover exploration and industrial drilling, pumping technology, and flow intensification. The session on servicing wells will touch on aspects such as the efficiency of managing manufacturing processes, and optimising operational processes and production using existing wells. An interesting session on the second day will focus on the most current topic for the West Kazakhstan region – developing oil refining and petrochemistry.

Managers of leading companies in the industry and representatives of state institutions will speak at the sessions and 150 delegates from across the world will take part in the conference.

The business mission programme of the Udmurt Republic delegation, aimed at learning about new markets and widening the business potential of companies' partner-countries, will include their participation in the exhibition and conference. Viktor Savelyev, the Chair of the Udmurt Republic Government, will head the delegation.

Each year, the project receives official support from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Akimat (City Government) of Atyrau and the Atyrau Region, KazMunaiGas, the Association of the Service Companies of Kazakhstan - Kazservice, and the Kazakhstan Association of Petroleum Geologists.

AtyrauBuild 2015, the exhibition on building, interiors, heating and ventilation, will run in parallel on the same dates.
