“Anti-corrosive Coatings” and “Welding” will be the new sections at the Atyrau Oil and Gas exhibition

The Organisers of Atyrau Oil & Gas 2014 will present new sections for the exhibitors and visitors to the exhibition.

The first of these is the "Coatings- Anti-Corrosion Pipeline Coatings" section. This is the field with the most potential in the market of Kazakhstan.  There are two companies in the Republic that produce pipes with internal and external anti-corrosion coatings which allow their operational lifetime to be increased as a result of minimal oxygen and water permeability, resistance to the effects of temperature changes and solar energy.

The leading Kazakhstani companies in the Oil and Gas sector are already interested in these technologies, because the economic profitability and environmental safety of such solutions is self-evident. The latest achievements and technologies in the production, methods and areas of application of anti-corrosion coatings are planned to be presented at the exhibition.   Particular attention will be given to the following fields:

  • the production of pipes with anti-corrosion coatings
  • the application and restoration of anti-corrosion coating on open pipelines and in workshops
  • coverage of internal and external surfaces of oil, refined and heavy pertroleum product storage tanks
  • coverage of  trestlework, galleries and supports of oil and gas pipelines
  • coverage of oil well equipment

The other important new section at the exhibition in Atyrau this Spring will be "Welding in the Oil and Gas Industry". The technologies used for welding today have significant differences to those that were used several years ago, becoming increasingly scientific and productive. These are primarily high speed digital instruments with a high performance index that also allow for energy saving.

The most modern sets of integrated welding equipment will be displayed alongside the more traditional multitools for all types of welding (manual arc welding, mechanised welding, automatic gas metal arc welding and flux-cored welding).  The following fields will be covered by the section:

  • innovative solutions for welding, soldering and overlay welding
  • inverting power supplies for semi-automatic welding
  • quality control systems for welding and soldering
  • technologies for repair works in locations which are difficult to access
  • protection systems

The organisers strive to demonstrate the whole range of technologies used in the construction of oil and gas pipelines and storage facilities.

Through the creation of new sections at the 13th Atyrau Oil & Gas Exhibition, the organisers want to make exhibiting at the exhibition even more effective. Every year, more than 150 companies from 15 countries take part in the exhibition, with over 3000 specialist visitors, that include producers, operators, investors, representatives of state bodies and many other important industry stakeholders.

The annual exhibition and annual conference in Atyrau have the official suuport of the Ministry of Oil and Gas of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Akimates of Atyrau region and the city of Atyrau and state company KazMunayGas JSC.

The forthcoming Atyrau Oil & Gas exhibition will take place from 1-3 April in the city of Atyrau at the "Atyrau" sports complex, while the OILTECH Atyrau 2014 conference will be held from 1-2 April at the "Renaissance Atyrau" hotel.

The Organisers of the event are Kazakhstani exhibition company, Iteca and their international partner, ITE Group PLC.
